LaunchCast
About LaunchCast
Thank you for using LaunchCast. My goal is to provide useful flight-planning and logging tools without the never-ending subscriptions common on other sites/apps. Optional support helps keep LaunchCast available, improve the app, and make future features possible.
What LaunchCast Does
LaunchCast is built with powered paraglider pilots in mind, while also providing useful weather, location, GPX tracking, and flight-review tools for other VFR pilots.
Weather Data
LaunchCast's current forecast planner uses Open-Meteo and its Best Match forecast selection. In the United States, that may include NOAA forecast models such as HRRR and GFS.
Winds aloft use the nearest available model height. Weather and winds are estimates and are not a substitute for official aviation weather, local observations, or pilot judgment.
Support LaunchCast
Contributions are optional. Supporting LaunchCast can only help make the app better, but you can always continue to your flight log without contributing.
